PRODUCT REVIEW: Maybelline 24HR Color Tattoo Creme Eyeshadow

Hello my Lovelies and a happy day to you all!  Today I will be reviewing a new product just released by Maybelline called the 24HR Color Tattoo.  This is a creme eyeshadow product, similar to the MAC Paint Pot. There are ten shades in the collection; I have six of them:   top row (L to R) 20 Painted Purple, 30 Pomegranate Punk and 05 Too Cool.  Bottom row (L to R):  40 Tenacious Teal, 15 Audacious Asphalt,  15 Tough As Taupe.



I've been using them off and on for the past week and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed.  They are very creamy, glide on well and are quite pigmented.  All of the colors that I have, with the exception of Tough As Taupe, are shimmers.  I even tried wearing a couple of them alone just as shadow colors and they stayed crease-proof quite well--rarely do I wear creme shadows because I have oily lids.  They work wonderfully well as a base for other shadows and I think are quite comparable to MAC's Paint Pot.  I found the Color Tattoo at both Walgreens ($6.99) and Target ($5.99) for .14 oz.;  MAC's Paint Pots are priced at $16.50 (or is it now $17.50?) for .17 oz.  Above is a picture of me wearing the 05 Too Cool (white shimmer) as a base topped with MUFE matte white shadow, MUFE matte turquoise shadow and Covergirl eyeshadow in After Midnight.

  2. hi forevermissvanity: thanks for the ! lovely comment! i normally don't wear cremes either, but i loved the colors and just had to try them. as i said, they seemed to work even on my oily lids. the only color i'm dissapointed in so far is the pomagranate punk--doesn't show on me well at all!

  3. pretty look! i just purchased pomegranate punk. not really my type of color for a cream shadow, but i'm curious and wanna try! i can't tell if audacious asphalt is like my mufe aqua cream color.

  4. hi kia: i have an aqua cream (the orange one) and i actually think that these eye tattoos are just that little bit creamier than the aqua creams...
