Well, Lovelies--looks like the new year is progressing quickly.  I can't believe that it's almost the middle of the month; seems like only yesterday we were ringing in the new year...

Anyway, this post is about some of my favorite makeup items, current makeup crushes and makeup items on my wish list!  You all feel free to leave comments about what has wowed  you, what has you drooling and what you wouldn't mind finding in your makeup bags as a surprise.

First up is a product on my wish list:  BlackUp Cosmetics' gold waterproof liquid eyeliner.  This is just so  luscious looking...I covet this immensely, even though I don't know where I'd wear this!  Suggestions, anyone?  Is this something that could work some kinda way for a daytime look?

Next is my current foundation crush, Fashion Fair's True Finish Mineral Foundation.  I wrote a review about this here and even after 2 plus months, I'm still in love with this foundation.  I use this everyday and it holds--even on my oily combo skin!  No powder touch-ups needed; now THAT'S special...

Now, for my current lippie crush:  Black Opal's Patent Lips Liquid Lipstick in Violene.  The color is soooo HOT!  The oxblood, vampy lip is very much on trend for winter 2012-13 and this is THE perfect shade for that VA-VA-VOOM punch.  The name has rubbed off of the tube, but I guarantee that this is the product!  Read my take on it here.  By the way, this looks awesome layered with a sheer gold lip gloss such as Black Radiance Radiant Lip Gloss in Golden Sand.  How can anyone resist a SPARKLY, VAMPY pout?

Last, but not least is this sleek looking pencil sharpener from Slice Cosmetics.  You know how sharp your eyeliner pencils are when you first purchase them, and then they wear down and you try to sharpen them with a drugstore sharpener and you just can't quite get that really sharp point back?  Well, I've been told that this sharpener will do the trick; I'm so sorry that I can't remember who the kind person was on twitter that pointed me in the direction of this product.  I have yet to purchase; however, it is on my list of things to try in 2013.   Designed by famed architect Michael Graves (who, by the way, also designed the Humana Building here in Louisville, KY), this sharpener is compact, easy to grasp and accommodate three sizes of pencils.
So that's it for this edition--do you have any suggestions for me on products to try?  What's on your wish list?  What are some of your makeup crushes (or duds)?  Until next time Lovelies, blessings, hugs and peace!
